ABOUT 

   

 Aiden James Poling is a professional actor, multi-hyphenate creative, and teaching artist who believes in bringing inclusive and truthful storytelling to life. He believes the arts belong to everyone and has centered his career around using his passions toward the creation of welcoming, accessible spaces where they can be enjoyed by all. 

       With roots in Shreveport, LA Aiden holds BFAs in both Theatre and Studio Art from Centenary College--two areas of study which have helped shape his career across stage, music, film, directing, and design. As a teaching artist for public schools, non-profit arts organizations, and private students for the last ten years, Aiden's relies on his wealth of work experience both on stage and behind the curtain to provide a unique perspective and appreciation of the arts for his workshop participants and private students. 

     In addition to his performance career, Aiden has served in leadership positions for several arts organizations.  After moving to Omaha, NE three years ago, Aiden served as the Co-Artistic Director for RESPECT, an educational touring theatre company that aims to "stage conversations" and educate audiences of all ages and background about mental health, SEL concepts, and building and maintaining healthy relationships. He is also an actor for VROOM! Mobile Sensory Theatre, a one-of-a kind traveling theatre experience designed for audiences with autism, developmental delays, or other sensory sensitivities. VROOM!, offered through the Omaha Community Playhouse, is a program that provides a safe and personalized experience for these individuals by bringing the performance directly to their home. Currently, Aiden works as a full-time teaching artist for Opera Omaha as part of the Holland Community Opera Fellowship, where he brings engaging arts programming and workshops to 11+ community partners.

In his downtime from creating or working on projects, Aiden enjoys weight-lifting, yoga, cooking, solving escape rooms, star-gazing, and a good glass of scotch. He is also a Dog/Cat Dad to Hazel and Alfie, who he raises with his wife, love of his life and creative-partner-in-crime, Maddison.
